VSX

VSX is the statue that will be celebrated by future generations. Its degenerate fragments are being re-assembled and suspended to form a futuristic holy deity.

VSX represents re-connection and a return to oneness, both with ourselves and our communities. The red thread, combining and holding the different parts together, links the female to the divine and celebrates the beginning of life, a new future. It sheds away the seemingly ingrained capitalistic and individualistic tendencies; their growth ultimately leading to further degeneration. VSX speculates a future in which our current paganistic, neo-baroque, post-modern effigies have returned to their original intended purpose, that of serving as a link to the divine, self-awareness and genuine community.
