The colour white

'The Colour White' is a collaborative project that attempts to start examining the complexities of violence, trauma and healing. Using the neutrality of white as both a metaphor and material, the work interrogates both how violence blends into the everyday and it also explores the discomfort that comes with healing. Formal elements, such as repetitions, ruptures, absences and imprinted figures, function as testimonies to cycles, injury, uncertainty and resilience. Central to the project is an exploration of healing as a non-linear, fragile process situated between trauma and recovery. By foregrounding listening over assumption, 'The Colour White' positions itself as a critical space for reflection, solidarity and the negotiation of care.

Collaborator and Poet for the project is Sarah-Madeleine Caruana
